In our family, German Shepherds are a part of life. Our breeders aren't just that; they are integral to the way we live. They are first our pets. We have four young children, and our dogs are their playmates and protectors. As with any life out in the woods, there are those things you need to watch out for. What better way to do that than with a GSD at your side? Every day, our dogs accompany our kids and us wherever we go. We also use our dogs as an extra set of eyes, ears, and noses in the mountains. Whether it's on horseback during summer rides on the trails or deep in the backcountry hunting elk in September, a dog goes along. I personally hunt with my stud dog Rex, and before him, his father Leo. I never go without him for multiple reasons. With the ever-growing Grizzly population, it's a great comfort to have a large dog whose nose and ears are always on alert, noticing things that I can't detect. Those same senses are unparalleled on a blood trail, never losing an animal. Beyond all that, it's great to have the company of a loyal friend.
Our bloodline isn't what most people think of when they hear German Shepherd. Naturally, you think, police dog, aggressive, purpose-built. Here at Stark Mountain Shepherds, our bloodlines are geared towards family and rural living. Our adults have straight backs, long hind leg angles, and sound minds with thoughtful dispositions. We run the same Czech, DDR, and West German lines as any good working line should be, but selecting adults that fit the lifestyle we and our clients chose to live. We strive every day to breed a quality German Shepherd, healthy and happy. Providing a family protector and best friend to you and your family. Our great pleasure is to see the smiles of those who take our pups home, knowing the love they will receive and the happiness they will provide.
We are not affiliated with the AKC or any kennel club. Our dogs are not, and cannot be registered with these kennel clubs. These are purebred working line GSD's, we do not have show line dogs.
